Architectural Program and Design

-Studied more functions and tools of AutoCAD 2020 software

-Studied several floorplan designs for energy efficient homes

​

-Researched benefits of an open style of floorplan

​

-Began floor plan of home

Building Envelope and Air Tightness

-Studied advanced framing systems and structural framework

​

-Researched various building materials used in wall assemblies, roofing, and window systems that prevent heat loss and improve air tightness

​

-Conducted comparison study on windows, doors, and roofing based in U Value/R Value and other aspects needed to calculate heat transfer

​

-Decided on tentative window design to be implemented in residential building

Solar Panel and Water Storage Design

-Researched the best ways to implement rainwater collection systems.

​    -Found grey water system that can be used with the sink water and toilet.

    -Researched how the rainwater collection system treats the water and the amounts it can hold at a single time.

Internal Loads and Energy Modeling

- Continued to look into more HVAC systems â€‹

​

-Started understanding more about Geothermal ventilation and its emissions 

​

-Began studying eQUEST energy modeling functions and abilities
